Why is it that people always say that money doesn't bring you happiness and that all your wealth won't? I call bullshit on this. I would be beyond happy if I had a billion dollars! I could go on all kinds of vacations, go to great schools without worry about the cost, and finally live in an awesome house. All kinds of stuff I could do with my wealth, and materials. So why is it that people always think you can't gain "true" happiness from it all?

I just don't understand the logic.

Most people will say it's because you'll be "alone."

Though I agree with you, if I had a near infinite supply of money, I WOULD be happy. Period.

You dont see the negative aspects of being rich. Kidnapping, extortion, frivelous lawsuits, jealous people treating you like shit etc etc.

lol!!! Why would I get frivolous lawsuits? Kidnapping? Not going to happen. Same for extortion! I can only imagine people being jealous, but... I would not be such a stingy person with my wealth. Surely I would do great things for people. :) I would be like Bill Gates, in some ways, with my wealth.. donate a lot. :) (Although he does spend ridiculous amounts on things I find over priced)

Be alone? YOU JOKING?! I'D HAVE ALL THE HOOKERS AND BLOW I'D EVER WANT!!! :D

I'd probably take up flying jet fighters. :) Buy a big piece of land and shoot shit. That would be awesome!! *TARGET LOCKED* *WSSHHH* *BOOM!!!!*

Yep...the truly wealthy have myriads of problems that us po-folk can't begin to imagine...

BUT, if money can't buy happiness, it CAN make you a helluva lot more comfortable while you continue to look for it...

Hell yeah! :D

I could always use my money and make myself disappear off the radar! Go to some country where I am not known, and start a new life(in some ways)! That's always an option. :)

But, really.... Freaking jet fighter planes and like... Omg, I'd fly a 747! :D That'd be cool. I'd fly it with a N64 controller and, "Tap Z OR R twice to do a barrel roll!" :D :D :D

Serious awesomeness can be made with money and me.

You are doomed.

If I had a lot of money I would not want people to know about it. Live modestly and set my kids for life. Greed is a terrible thing.

Hah! :) That's awesome.

What if you're unhappy because of your financial situation? What then?! I am really unhappy because of my financial situation, mainly. We used to live comfortably enough, now we don't at all.

Then you see past that unhappiness and find another. It is a circle of disappointment.

Kind of funny coming from a kid who doesn't even have a car or drivers license.

I doubt it. I would be way more happy if I lived back where I used to. We had a nice house, and it was 50x better than this one we live in. Now, we have to wait for months and months because my parents are not as desperate as I am to fucking move, and get the fuck out of this place! Ugh... Seriously, they need to kick it into overdrive. They said that we would be in a house by now, December, when we moved up here... Now it may be February, maybe March? Maybe longer, if they don't fucking get it in gear. I hate having to deal with people who plan so terribly! Now, if we had $100,000,000... I would be FREAKING AWESOMELY HAPPY! I'd buy the most kickass house ever.

If we had any money, maybe I would have incentive to get that license... but, since we don't... What the heck is the point of a drivers license if you can't get a car? I will get a job, eventually.

This. I was working and had my own car at 16, my parents didn't have to buy it for me.

Your parents should kick you out of the house and make you fend for yourself. Maybe then, you'll get some motivation. No need for a car? Makes getting a job a lot easier. And maybe, you'd even be able to take a girl out.

So, quit bitching about your parents and situation, if you're not going to do anything about it.
