Matchmaker, make me a match for a song - Paolo Nutini, New Shoes

Orsorum

Lifer
Just trying to come up with a good sized mix of songs similar in spirit to Paolo Nutini's "New Shoes."

What I'd like in the end is a good mix that I can play while I'm cooking in the kitchen and that I can dance around too, just light-hearted. I can come up with a hip-hop or swing music mix some other time.

I've tried Pandora and iTune's mix maker and neither seem to be finding songs that really fit what I'm looking for. Any one here have any suggestions?

"These Streets" is a great album - I don't really know anybody similar to him. Take Jamie Cullum and Mika and find someone halfway in between 😛

So far my list is as follows:

Paolo Nutini - New Shoes
Beck - Girl
Jack Johnson - Breakdown
Ingrid Michaelson - The Way I Am
KT Tunstall - Hold On
Rocco DeLuca - Colorful
Jamie Cullum - Twentysomething
Yael Naim - New Soul
Eric Hutchinson - Rock & Roll
The Shins - New Slang
Amos Lee - Sweet Pea
Carla Bruni - Quelqu'un m'a dit?
Susan Tedeschi - Back To The River
Matt Nathanson - Come On Get Higher
Donavon Frankenreiter - It Don't Matter
Josh Kelley - Amazing
Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Love Is The Only Way
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals - Steal My Kisses

Bump for new songs:

Susan Tedeschi - Back To The River
Matt Nathanson - Come On Get Higher
Donavon Frankenreiter - It Don't Matter
Josh Kelley - Amazing
Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Love Is The Only Way
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals - Steal My Kisses

:facepalm;

Because when we are in the kitchen cooking, we are actually SPOILER: axing someone in the back... >_<
