Matching my sofa to a rug

So I am getting this Sofa, pretty much the same colors but the cushions will be a little lighter. I found out the name of it after I decided to get it. SOFA

I NEED a area rug in the room it will be going into.

I liked THIS ONE #1 and THIS ONE #2

Walls will probably be some shade of green sorta the jungle thing maybe.

Anyway My friend thinks it's a bad idea and I should do something more like THIS BORING THING #3

Oh there is also this one #4

What do the peoples here think?

i personally like #3 or #4 but if you want to go for a bachelor pad-type feel, then #1 or #2 will do the trick. honestly, it's what you like and what you want. if you like the first 2, go for it. everbody has different tastes.

Edit: Those animal print ones would be good for stain-hiding too. They're not what I'd get, but hey, they're entertaining.

forget #3, #4 is possible, depending on the other furnishings in the room, but the sofa is SIMPLE, the rugs you have chosen are complicated and busy to me......why not the one from the photo?
