Anyone catching this tour? I missed it when I checked the concert dates earlier, but now I see they are coming to the Hawthorne Theatre next month  Tickets go on sale Saturday.

Divinations pretty much kicks ass off the new album, so I'm eager to hear the rest of it, I think its released on the 24th of this month.

You won?t want to miss these shows. MASTODON will perform CRACK THE SKYE in its entirety along with career-spanning surprises and plenty of visual stimulus in store.

awesome

Mastodon is fucking amazing and reviving American progressive metal single handedly in my opinion.

I cannot stress how amazing of a talent these guys are. I've seen them twice before and cannot wait for this one.

If Divinations is any indication, they've even stepped it up a notch. Thats got to be the best vocals of any Mastodon song I've heard.

I heard some more of Mastodon's new album "Crack the Skye" Seriously, this release simply Kicks-ass

I can't wait to hear the rest...its so goood! The venue should be PERFECT for the show....can't wait.

They should have more pics of prehistoric mammals on their albums. Their name is misleading. 404 mastodon not found?

In all seriousness, I'll give them a chance. I expect to hate it however....lol Not a fan of newer music really.

I'm not a big fan of alot the new stuff either, but I like these guys quite a bit. It should be a great show....$20 for small venue + full stage show = Oh Yea 😎

btw, their name is perfect 😉

Mastodon are insane!!! I'm 30 years old and I don't consider this "new" music. The musicianship is amazing in Mastadon.
They are my new favorite band next to Arch Enemy.

I think I'll being seeing them tomorrow night in Lawrence! I saw them on the Blood Mountain tour and they were amazing.

Mastodon is definitely one of the best newer heavy bands out there.

Chicago show was fucking AMAZING.

One of the best metal shows I've been to, killer setlist, awesome awesome time.

the first replies to this thread should've been "PTERODACTYL" "TRICERATOPS" "SABERTOOTH TIGER" and "TYRANNOSAURUS"

I don't want to make it worse for you but seriously I've seen a ton of metal shows in that genre and this just owned them all effortlessly. They played 2 tunes from Remission! About 5 from Blood Mountain, 5 from Leviathan and Crack the Skye in it's entirety. They played for just over 2 hours!!
