Just wondering if Mythbusters did a show on this where they see what type of gun/how many shots it takes to take one out.

If not, does anyone have any video to prove that Master Lock is "NOT TOUGH" under fire?

Pellet gun? (**LOL**)
Shot gun? (??)

Shotgun is the only way. Pistols can't do jack, rifles make small holes...shotgun blows this thing apart!

<--not a rifle guy, but:
The biggest thing they fired out of a rifle was maybe 168 grains/2600fps the Barret is 750grains/2800fps

The Barret wins most matches of brute force.

 
Why don't they shoot the hook part of the lock instead of the body?

Laminated locks are quite strong though. I'm willing to bet bolas made with a pair of large Masters would do a real number on someone that deserves it. (like the beagle skinner. :| )

That's what I want............ Shoot the actual "HOOK" part of the lock straight on!

What gun will do this?

 
Squisher: Well DUH, no shit, .50 round in Barret (round 1/3 size of the damn lock) will tear it apart. But, Barret is NOT a typical rifle. Examples of typical rifles are AK and AR-15.

Besides, your Barret bullet will go through the damn door and everything behind it!

Rubycon: They're not crazy enough to shoot the handle point blank. Recoil can be deadly...and aiming for handle from several feet away is impractical.

Shotgun is the only way to destroy these locks.
