Master/Factory reset for LG AX/VX 8600

Hey guys,

I am getting ready to sell two used LG AX8600 cell phones, but I want to clear them off first. There is a Reset option, but all it does is reset preferences - it doesn't wipe all of the files and personal information from the phone.

Is there a universal LG factory reset code? If anyone could help me out with this, I would be grateful. Thanks!

From what I read, you dial *228 and listen/choose the option you're looking for. If it asks for an unlock code of some sort it can be either '1234' or the last 4 digits of your phone number.
