But you're forced to use dual analog. Which is fine if you've never *seriously* played FPS games with a mouse. No matter how much Halo fans may cry and scream that dual analog can hold up to mouse/kb, it just can't. There is an OUTRAGEOUS amount of autoaim in Halo 2, which stands completely contrary to it's supposed competitive and balanced nature.
But still, I can't think of a better console FPS. (GoW, unfortunately is not an FPS, but its damn good.) It has its place - PC FPSes are not meant to be played on a couch, and never, ever should be. But you're only preaching to the choir if you're going to claim that Halo multiplayer is even in the same competitive league as the majority of decent PC FPSes.
Halo is like a teenager - a man amongst boys, but a boy amongst men. If you've spent hundreds of hours playing Halo, you might just be hardcore enough to consider putting down the fisher price gamepad and taking it to the next level. Sure, thats sounds as elitist as it gets...but you're welcome to join the big boys any time. 😛
"Join the big boys"
I've been playing PC FPSes since Wolfenstein and I've checked out most of the hyped AAA titles since then. I love them.
But I loved Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Timesplitters, and Gears of War as well. (the Halo series isn't my thing)
Bottom Line: If you only play with one or the other for legitimate reasons (lack of funds, time, etc.), you still get to play plenty of great games. If you only play one or the other for elitist reasons (playing with a dual analog controller lowers your gamer status), you're probably just being an ass.
