Massaging Dead pixels on LCD screens/...

Is this possible. who has done it? I have read people massaging the pixels to the point they disappear...

Dead pixels stem from dead transistor of the TFT logic.
Pixel defects normally come from a minor impurity on the silicon waver.

Massaging does not work.

Sorry to burst some bubbles.

Not talking Dead pixels but stuck ones. There are stories of people doing that. No its not that irritating but just wondering.

Maybe you could get your local VooDoo doctor to dump chicken guts on it or do they limit their practice to obsolete video cards?

Hey, mine does full service stuff like that, it just costs a little more.

I have heard of massaging the stuck pixels out by gently rubbing on the area of the screen from the backside, I read it here at AT on a thread a few weeks ago, you may want to try a search. I can't imagine how 1 would go about doing it with the protective covers on the back of the lcd, but i have heard it to be done.

I do not claim to know much about LCD technology, but this I do know... You can rub pixels that are *NOT* dead out... I mean say for instance someone presses on the LCD so hard that a few of the pixels do not respond... Well this has happened to me and I did RUB them and they did go away... I actually rubbed them on the actual surface too.

It's your LCD, so be carefull.

LCD=Liquid Crystal Display. You are squeezing the liquid around when you distort the surface with a little pressure.

For those of ya like to make jokes out of a serious question. I massaged a stuck green pixels on my new LCD and now I don't see any more. It works...!
