Mass Effect

Looks legit to me. I would expect all the tech issues of the 360 version to be ironed out nicely. The inventory menu on the 360 was really clunky so the new gui/inventory system will be welcomed. I hope there is mod support for this version. If there is a big enough difference then I'll get this version and sell my 360 Mass Effect.
 
LOL if EA decides to not make this WS even though the 360 was and proceed to butcher everything that made MASS great in the first place.

But the release is very good news, I'll play through it even if it turns out to be a horrible port!

Obviously when they're firing it out as an exclusive, the idea is to bait you on to that hook. Everyone knows every high profile title sees every platform that can run it over the course of a few years in order to sop up maximal revenuage.

Add in that it's based on UE3 technology, which can be "baked" for any of the major platforms relatively easily, and it's a small matter to get the port set up. If they're smart, they'll use the extra time to do some serious interface rewiring for us mouse-usin' folk.
 
Has Bioware ever put out a game which was exclusive for a console?

As for their quotes...they had similar ones about Jade Empire. I am sure there is some technical legal reason they can't announce it until a certain point but their past record is more indicative than their PR statements.

Don't worry, I'm sure modders can fix it so it's definitely a sex scene, and there's nothing to misconstrue.

I'm not surprised its being ported, I am VERY surprised its being ported so soon. May 2008 is only a few months away and only @ 6 months after release on 360. Porting from the 360 to the PC is the most seamless transition from a technical standpoint, but still BioWare doing a 180 from their exclusive stance so soon is the real news here.

I'm really enjoying God of War on the pc right now. Exclusive doesn't necessarily mean permanently exclusive, it means at release. The game is going to be out in 3 months on the PC, so the fact that they kept it secret this long and have it ready to go so soon? That is a surprise.
 
Excellent, there goes my only reason for wanting a 360.

Funny thing is, many of the replies in the sticky that I read in Bioware's new Mass Effect PC Edition subforum were complaints about Bioware porting it to the PC and not leaving it exclusive to the 360 😕

ME was the only reason I put any thought into getting a 360. Now I'm even more thrilled I decided to put the money into my new gaming rig instead. 🙂

Cause they are whinners... Mass Effect will look and play better on PC plus there will be mod support (that is my guess).

I'll probably get it if i don't get hooked up with a freebie.

Lost Planet was Capcom, so what did you expect?

Bioware was a PC gaming company first. Were you satisfied with the PC version of KOTOR?
