Mass Effect Trilogy(PS3)

ME1: Has the best story.
ME2: Has a great story; best action.
ME3: Meh.

It's not a question of whether you should skip ME1 and play 2 and 3. The question is "Do you want to ruin such a phenomenal story by playing ME3 after 1 and 2?"

Overall, it's a highly recommended series. I had a blast playing it.

Bio ware games cater to people who want a story, so basically while there are shooter gameplay elements it's such an easy game that might as well be called a dialogue based game with some shooting like la noire

Well, i can trade hitman for assasins creed 3 or mass effect 2 and 3. Cant make up my mind. 😛

AC3 gets really old really fast. Spoiler! I got as far as the
Boston Tea Party
, got bored, and still haven't finished it.

Mass Effect One is more RPG than the others in the series.
Mass Effect 2 is more third-person shooter with RPG elements
Haven't played 3 yet for a couple of reasons. It's not on Steam and the ending supposedly sucks.

I think you'll like the series if you enjoyed the demo. Definitely a better buy and will give you a good 60-90 hours of entertainment depending on how fast you play through them all.

The ending is not that bad. People just like to bitch about nothing. Probably the same people who bitched about the ending of Inception
because it was ambiguous as to whether he was dreaming or in reality.
.

the ME series is an amazing series and worth the playthrough. If you can, use your saves from 1>2>3. If you like science fiction, it is a great story. You can try and skip the mako parts as much as possible though. >_>
