You have to be connected to the net to play it. Don't know how often it checks and don't know if you can play it in Steam offline.

Not that I know of. Try right clicking on Steam and running it as Admin. I know Steam has many problems on Vista/W7 when not being run as admin.

I set steam to offline mode, and it worked fine.

The inventory system isn't great, the combat system isn't great, but the voice acting and story are very well done. They made up for the other shortfalls.

The combat system isn't bad once you get the hang of it. Just think Gears of War and it doesn't take much time at all.

Well all i know is the original DVD version was annoying.

How you had to sign on to play.
I hope the steam version is better for you guys.

The game is fun tho. It will keep you busy.

The only catch on the Steam version is there's no option for AA on ATI cards (can't rename the exe to UT3.exe).
