Mass Effect - jump problems.

Hi,

I am trying to re-play ME1, but right at the beginning I have to go over some rocks but haven't been able to.

How do one go over obstacles? Apparently, there is no designated jump button.

Help!

Hurdle? At least in ME3 you basically get behind a low piece of cover, then press the "over" direction and your 'action' button essentially to perform a hurdle, but I honestly forget if that's in ME1 lol. Otherwise, go around them? There's no "jump" and there's no 'platforming' to the game really.

There's no jump or hurdle action in ME1; there's never any obstacles you have to go over on foot. What planet are you on?

very first level right at the beginning.

To get to the arrow pointed on the radar, all 3 have go over rock formation to proceed. There is no other way...

I think you might be reading the arrow wrong?

The very very beginning of ME1 you can only go straight. After going straight for a bit, there's a branch to your left, which triggers a cut scene when it turns back to the right, up a hill. You can go forwards past the left branch and then turn right as well, but that's a dead end. I think there's some loot at the end of the dead end. It sounds like maybe you're at the dead end? Double back a bit and look for the branch that leads you up the hill.

You know there is a map, right? As far as I know, ME1 didn't have any "leap over objects" required. You were either in/behind cover or walked around it. The arrow may be pointed at the general direction of your objective, but you may have gotten trapped around some rocks. Back track a little.

Google "mass effect find beacon map" if you want some more help.

The rock wall you're looking at is too far, look a little to the left of the rock wall and you'll find a ramp to walk up. Or just search Youtube for a "Mass Effect 1 walkthrough".
