i have a 32" samsung lcd tv and this only happens with mass effect. i have tried everything I KNOW of but it is still grainny. help would be appriciated.

It is indeed the game, not your TV. It's a setting done on purpose that you should be able to deactivate in the options menu. I haven't played around with it yet but I know it is possible. It's supposed to give it a film effect, but I'm not sure if I like it.

I actually turned off "Film Grain" and "Motion Blur" after about 5 minutes. To me, it looks better and I think the frame rate might have smoothed a bit too.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to try this and see if I like it better. I expected the film grain to have some dirt and film marks, but if it just makes it grainy than I don't think I want it. The motion blur is kind of annoying too.

Yes, its under video options. In game, hit start, then options, then graphics settings (or display settings, can't remember the term exactly) swith film grain to off.

Its supoosed to make it look like an old sci fi film, but i dont particularly like it.

I like the motion blur tho.
