Mass Effect 3 Xbox vs PC

I played ME1 and 2 on PC, and I'm gearing up to get number 3. I know it is possible to port ME2 saves to ME3, so is it worth making the switch to Xbox to play with the Kinect?

You're considering throwing away two games worth of story, decisions, and character creation for wavy arm controls?

Well all I can tell is you is that I personally wouldn't. One of the hooks with the ME series is the continuity of your character through each game, and throwing that away IMO loses a little bit of what makes it special.

The kinect controls for the Xbox version are simply voice. I found i liked using them alot b/c ME3 after a cut scene wouldn't remember what ammo i was using, so i would just say incendiary ammo. But i would stick with pc only story carry over alone.

Yeah, there's nothing like coming out of a cut scene and not knowing what ammo you are using and having to say it out loud to get the right kind. If only Bioware put some type on control system in the game that let you hurry and choose your ammo.

I played around a bit with the voice commands, and found them to be semi useful. I must have said "Liara, Warp" a hundred times 🙂

As for PC>Xbox, I'm pretty sure it can be done.

In fact, I recently converted my 360 ME2 save to PC so that I could import it into ME3 on the PC.

I never had a problem with getting the voice commands to work. My buddy did and that was b/c he had his connect right beside the tv, so the kinect was getting interference from that. I always use my Turtles while playing so this is why my kinect picked up better is suppose.
