What is the best secondary skill to pick on the 2nd play through?

I think the best classes look like the vanguard and the infiltrator. Vanguard is like superman, and the trick is to get freeze ammo for your shotgun, plus the ultimate charge ability that slows down time. Although it is annoying how it seems like every time I charge EVERY SINGLE ENEMY focuses on me. Also, biotic charge needs to either knock back or temporarily disable heavy enemies. Since the vanguard is so dependent on the ability, biotic charge to heavy enemy = death.

infiltrator looks like it can best handle any situation with difficulty. Especially with stealth and AI hacking.

This game really needs to have a multiplayer mode.

Bonus powers for a second playthrough will depend on the class.

Personally, for an infiltrator I prefer passive powers (basically, one of the ammo types). Once cloak is fully powered up you'll be using it on cooldown due to the damage bonus, so active powers become less desirable.

active: reave
passive: warp ammo

You can kill a YMIR as a Vanguard pretty easily. Just engage in the right terrain -- if there's a nearby cover point, you can charge, unload, and run into hiding before it reloads its big attack.

so my advice in regards to this game after playing through is...

do the first play through with the infiltrator. Stealth IMO makes the game easy mode almost, and makes taking out powerful enemies easy. if they corner you just stealth away.

second play through play as vanguard because biotic charge is one of the coolest abilities I've ever seen in a game. And it is high risk high reward which makes it tricky. plus the additional ability of barrier or geth shield gives the vanguard improved survivability which is badly badly needed.

other class, I dunno. They don't look as fun overall. Adept in particular is hard to balance IMO, since bioware could either have made it a "win" button similar to how force lightning was in KOTOR, or if it's not as strong then functionally it's not too different from a soldier with an assault rifle.

Adept is the most fun class IMO. I tried soldier but it made the game into too much of a standard shooter.

My first playthrough was soldier just to get a feel for it, basically the only strategy is choosing which ammo to use. Gets pretty boring after a while, but speedier to play than most other casts IMO. Good if you're more concerned with the plot and just want to get the combat over with.

I loved ME2 over ME1, even though I found both ME1 to also be incredible well done. It just...played better.

I think one of my favorite parts in the game was when I finally

ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

DA2 WAS BETTER THAN DA1

THIS HURTS YOU

roflmao.

Oh and...

DAO > ME1 > ME2

Now to figure out where I'd stick Witcher, Kotor, NWN, etc in that. Probably all before ME2 in some fashion.

I was pretty disappointed by ME2 at first. I mean - No inventory? Really?

After a while I warmed up to it though. I bought a new PC in August so I quit playing without finishing it, but I intend to restart after I finish replaying ME1. My save from ME didn't transfer for some reason, but maybe it will the 2nd time around.

FWIW - I didn't mind sifting through the inventory and outfitting my squad manually in between missions at all in ME1.

ME and ME2 are both some of the best games ever made. With that being said I'd give the "best sequel ever" title to The Witcher 2 though.

i loved ME2. i still prefer the story and the depth of ME1, but the gameplay of ME2 really drew me in. i liked the versatility of the classes in ME2, which is probably why i've played through the game so many times.

i'm still working on my last insanity run. finished my CQC infiltrator, vanguard, sentinel and engineer, just have my adept left and then i think i'll mod it so i can solo run without squadmates for fun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbsjrAgl9Dc)
