I played Mass effect on the 360. It was great. Now i preorded the PC version on steam. Well.... i do not have a save for the first game, and i hear decisions made in that game effect the second. Below is a list of my decisions. I went for the most righteous out come i could. If any one with a similar save file could help me by emailing or filesharing their save for me, i would appreciate it.

* The decision to save either Kaidan or Ashley.[5]
---I saved Ashley

* Whether or not the player kills Wrex on Virmire.[6]
---I did not kill wrex

* Whether or not the player decides to save the Citadel Council at the end of Mass Effect.[7]
---I did save the council.

* The player's choice of love interest.[8]
---Awww yeah. I banged the blue chick.

* Whether the player spares or destroys the Rachni Queen at Peak 15.[9]
---I let her live.

* The player's treatment of Conrad Verner.[10]
---Uh, i was as friendly as possible with out letting him get all creepy. and he gave me that neutral seperate ways ending. Not the friendly or hostile ending on that one. ... I think....

* Whether or not the player completed the UNC: Asari Diplomacy sidequest.
---"I've got a better deal." is the option i remember choosing.

* Whether the player chose to allow the Alliance to conduct experiments on Nirali Bhatia's body.[11]
---I certainly did convince them to carve up Nirali Bhatia's body

I think most people did it that way at least once. Which choice (if any) did you make on BDTS?

Never played the expansions. Its probably ok though. for the sake of importing the saves in to ME2, it should still fire up. But if it does matter, the choices that seem most righteous are the ones i would normally pick, at least on a first play through.

The council's fate and the your pick of either the ambassador or the commander to lead afterward are the most important choices.

I'm pretty much in the same situation. I've never finished the game, though. Sequel's almost out. I just re-started the first one so many times that it killed the fun for me.

About conducting experiments on Nirali Bhatia's body, doesn't doing that make whoever is with you like you less? It also sounds like it gives you decent Renegade points, correct? I usually play Paragon. Thanks.

I was the same way until I finally restarted the game and forced myself to play through and read through the codex. I'm glad I did. :D

You can persuade either side of the Bhatia case in either a Paragon or Renegade way.

If this was a brand new release, then yeah, putting spoilers up on a game forum when everyone is playing it new might be un-civilized.

But as it's been out for a year or two now, it's not nearly as annoying to see spoilers. If you don't know the game plot or the ending, it's pretty much on your own head if you venture into ANY thread on it and then see a spoiler. Same as it is for me, since I've never finished it.

The only difference is, I didn't come in here and offer absolutely nothing but instead tried to be a hall-monitor, and then go as far as to call the OP stupid, that's pretty rude.

I've finished the game three times, I don't care about spoilers personally. But it takes exactly zero effort to not be an asshole and ruin it for those that haven't played it. One word in the title is all it takes to not be an inconsiderate jerkface. I don't understand why so many people have so much resistance to just using a fucking spoiler warning.

Spoiler warning : The good guy wins and the universe is safe again, albeit temporary in the sense that sequels don't work if it truly was safe. :p

OP put a spoiler warning in the title, stupid.

A spoiler tag should be fucking implied if someone is worried about spoilers and they're coming into a ME1->carryover->ME2 thread. While I agreed with you with the spoilers in the DA:O thread, this game has been out for like two years, there have been multiple $5 sales about it. While there may be some people who haven't played it and are worried about spoilers, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be clicking on this thread.

whoah, calm down man, posting "spoilers" on a 2 year old game is hardly what i'd call assholish behvaiour. how old are you? when u get a little older & grow some hair on your chest im sure your measure of an asshole will be completely different.

I'm 24. My measure of an asshole is determined by the ratio of how dickish they're being to how easily they could have avoided said dickishness. Posting spoilers for a 2-year-old thread is slightly dickish but it's so easily avoided by posting a SINGLE FUCKING WORD in the thread title that the dickishness is multiplied.

Seriously.... No-one has heard of spoiler tags?

The title of the topic heavily implied spoilers so in my opinion it was on their head be it if they found their game to be spoiled.

I am currently playing through ME1 to see what all the fuss is about... and to be perfectly honest, I am struggling to see it.

Spoilers are accepted unless the title states specifically "no spoilers". this is to say, any discussion about a topic is unlimited, until it is limited.
