Lol, his post states the AWB had no affect, the report said it was hard to gauge and ranged from a small impact to none, that doesn't confirm what he said. I then explained why the results might have been what they were and suggested a new study without the law being handicapped.

But your ignorant ass can't read (must be the cataracts) and you aren't smart enough to add anything worthy to the discussion so my expectations aren't that high to begin with.

Well, look at california. we've been handicapped to 10 rounds and had a fairly restrictive list of cosmetic features that make a weapon more deadly. How have we done here?

oakland, richmond, and stockton not to mention LA STILL have violent crime with guns. Is it less than before? Are we ignoring other factors? The causes of these crimes? Drugs? Economic conditions? Decreasing police presence? etc...

Look at Chicago and DC, and in some respects NY with their bans. Effective? Why or why not?

What are the causes for this violence? Lets start there and address that...

I'm kidding of course but magazine bans are irrelevant. It makes the democrats feel good but as for small or large magazines, banning them is stupid since the lawmakers know naught about how guns work. Magazine bans are purely due to ignorance.

It doesn't really matter how many rounds they carry, reloading isn't a big deal, you just need to carry more magazines. Politicians doing armchair analysis of a crime spree is just about the dumbest justification for any law.

I would allow any recommendation the police say on the matter, even if it was exactly the same recommendations but I bet you they have some different ideas.

Magazines are just spring boxes and its very dumb to regulate them. Even if they banned detachable magazines someone could easily fashion their own clip to reload fast if they're gonna break the law anyway. Crazy ass evil-types determined to be law breakers have nothing but time on their hands. The Batman guy rigged his apartment all up with traps, they're just psychotic and have nothing better to do.

many would argue that's equivalent to "no effect."

i would be interested in seeing an expanded study on crimes where magazines with greater than 10 round capacity magazines were used. since the study in the report was only limited to New Jersey, it would be interesting to see what nation-wide data would yield. If I had to guess, I would say the results would be similar.

you know, just to add more ammunition to the argument that an AWB is useless
