 Good. I can't imagine a more tacky expression of...well, whatever it is the idiots who put these on their trucks are trying to express. Impotence? Small penis? Both?

What about those anti-abortion trucks that have pictures of aborted fetuses?

Funny that most guys who would get those fake nuts and big trucks do so because they lack adult sized organs themselves or they have a self esteem problem.

Stupid chimps.

Thank goodness they only work 90 days a year. If they worked year round could you imagine the laws passed?

They are also trying to pass an Assault weapons ban. I wish they would just leave things alone or work on getting slots instead.

Heaven forbid children be exposed to depictions of balls. I guess the next step is to pass legislation requiring all intact male animals wear pants.

EDIT: Here's what they're talking about mostly. I think they're tacky, but outlawing them is ridiculous.

I wouldn't describe the government wanting to ban something conservative. Most real conservatives believe in less government regulation.

What's more sad that people actually have to be told these kinds of things are inappropriate for public display and that we are forced to have to ban them. Every time I see one of these things hangin off some redneck hicks pick-em-up truck trailer hitch I feel like I must be driving behind a 13 year-old. Grow the hell up America. . .you make me ashamed of us. This country needs to take a good long hard look in the mirror and ask itself what it really sees.

I think this goes back to parents not teaching their children what is polite and rude in public situations.

I hope it passes.

Are you kidding????? This is going to start a slippery slope :( Soon they're going to ban the Calvin pissin' on a Ford graphics :|

Soon there'll be no way for people to fully express their white trashiness on the outside of their vehicles :(

They can always stick with the confederate flag in the rear window or the naked lady silhouette on the mud flaps. Pretty sure on the news story I saw on TV about this, the guy proposing the legislation specifically said he wouldn't be targetting the naked lady mud flaps.

Sure. But social conservatism is not the the same thing as conservatism. (E.g.: Rudy Giuliani is a conservative, but not a social conservative.) Social conservatism is generally concerned with (among other things) opposing displays of nudity or sexually suggestive imagery. Your point is valid, but we're talking about two different animals here.

The fact that they are wasting time with this is sad.

Damn it... I've figured it out now:

A while back, license driver renewal was $20.. I recieved my notice the other day for my upcoming renewal. It is now $30. This is where the extra $10 is going.. to fund the time wasted to pass stupid laws like this.

I've only lived in Maryland since 1999. During this short time, I've noticed:

License Plate registration almost doubled
License renewal up $10
County tax rate increase slightly..
Housing on the rise.. even up in rural counties, such as where I live..

Roads deteriorating year by year, with no new repairs

School system sucks; when it gets hot, they have to let the kids out of school, since alot of the schools don't have air conditioning.. or the air conditioning has failed..
Schools were not built to accomodate for increased student levels.. Now they just waste time and $$ on those stupid portable buildings.. Stop wasting time and $$ and just build a bigger fvcking school.

So.. where the fvck are Maryland taxpayer's dollars going?

Instead of asking stupid questions on message boards, why not go find out? Find your state's budget, see where all of the money is going to. You sound like one of those people who likes to complain about everything the government does even though you have no idea what you're talking about. And it's always about how much money they're wasting. Tell me, how much money do you think it would cost to pass and enforce this law? Just a ballpark figure, in your expert opinion. It's not like they're going to assign cops to truck testicle duty or something.

Not to mention, this bill hasn't even passed according to the article. It has been introduced. Hundreds of bills are introduced every year at all levels of government and don't pass. All you have here is one guy wasting his own guy writing this bill, and you have him wasting enough time to pay to repair all of the roads in Maryland!

They're not going to spend days debating a meaningless bill like this. They'll vote, it'll pass or not pass, and that'll be the end of it.

I think you are reading into my complaints too much. Isn't it human nature to complain about something like, such as a ban like this...

Also, you say, "You sound like one of those people who likes to complain about everything the government does even though you have no idea what you're talking about."..

Well goddamn.. you are right on that one.. Sorry if I'm not the elite budget/law guru such as many of you on here, but if I'm paying taxes.. and if the state has set aside a certain amount of funds for a particular project.. and that doesn't happen.. year after year.. I think any tax paying citizen has a right to complain..
Or am I wrong in thinking that way?

But.. I see your point of view.. I mean.. honestly.. out of the few months the law makers are in session discussing budgeting, etc.. they are going to devote. what.. 1 minute of time for this particular matter..
Its mainly the "principle" that pisses me off :p

Thanks for the link to the budget site.

*edit*
What document actually states actual budget instead of "proposed" or planned?

I saw a few fake ballbags swinging from truck hitch points when I was in FL this Xmas. I lol'd AT them, not with them. Really stupid, but can you ban ignorance...?

This reminds me a little of watching the 'channel' MTV. Most logo's or other 'questionable' content is blurred out. Somtimes to the extent that that 50% of the image is blurred. T-shirt logo's, food brands, advertisments on public buildings and at this rate, truck mounted nutbags. I sometimes imagine the next generation will not be able to understand why the world around them is in such sharp focus...

ok, i'm going to go out on a limb here, but i say more power to maryland! granted it's a small thing, but i'm sick of the constant vulgarity that is expressed everywhere in public these days. i have two little boys (8 and 9) and i hate that i'm forever having to explain this kind of crap to them. what ever happened to being polite, being discrete, being sensitive to the feelings of others? what ever happened to protecting our kids and keeping them innocent a little longer?

I actually think they are rather funny. I can't say I would ever put them on any vehicle of mine, but I laugh when I see them.

I think that there are probably more inappropriate things that need to be dealt with than just truck nuts, but whatever.
