There will be bedlam and murder in the streets! It will be like the wild west!
Oh wait, there was already bedlam before this ruling.

Time to go get my CC gun I have been waiting on.

Can't wait until the same happens to California. The butthurt will be delicious.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but it is the County Sheriff office that issues CCW permits in California, right?
Some counties it is much easier to get a permit than others, from what I understand.

Correct. Most rural counties in CA are actually "shall issue", but in the SF Bay Area and LA (where most people live) it's impossible to get a permit unless you're rich/famous or friends of the sheriff. Calguns Foundation has been suing the offending counties for violating the 14th Amendment equal protection clause so there's been some progress made that way. Recently Sacramento county was forced to go shall issue. A state-wide lawsuit like this one would be much quicker and cheaper than suing a bunch of different counties, though.

Oh, the mayhem that will ensue, there will be complete chaos I tell you! I know this because the leftists have told me so whenever there's discussions on CC laws.

I agree, the system seems kinda silly.

Matter of fact, that is just what our Bat man Aurora shooter did. As before the shooting that is exactly what he did as he applied for membership at a local gun club,

To the credit of the local gun club they turned down his application because he talked crazy and gave off bad vibes. The question is and remains, did the gun club contact the cops and report they had a potential real nut on their hands.

And now 12 deaths and some 71 wounded later, we may have our answer. Sad to say our Bat man shooter never received proper firearms training, a better trained nut case would have killed more and wounded less. As I am shocked, shocked I tell you, that modern Firearms technology is less than its cracked up to be. As the Colorado shooter assault rifle jammed, had it not done so, its drum magazine contained God how many rounds, could have fired many more rounds in the unit time allotted before the cops could respond. So our nut had to switch to plan B and use far less effective pistols.

Is this like the meyham that ensued in the GA town that required gun ownership? Whose crime dropped 50% following that law being passed?

is this like the swiss who arm their citizens but have a deathrate of less than 1/100,000 by guns?

I'm in the same city as shneiderguy and because of that I have fewer rights than other Americans, and even other Californians. If its down to the whim of the Sheriff in our county that's very subjective interpretation of our 2nd amendment, not so in the case of a shall-issue objective view of it

Sorry but the Switzerland analogy is retarded. NOBODY in Switzerland walks around with a concealed firearm. They'd think you were a lunatic if you did.

Actually no, because pretty much all of the people who are worth worrying about will be ineligible for a CC permit.

Those five guys hanging out on the street corner now have three of them legally armed

This is going to arm a lot more people from the shttiest areas then I'm guessing?

Nope, the poor will still be unable to afford the paperwork and the purchase. Most women are still conditioned not to resist or defend themselves so you'll still be safe from the very poor and women.
