MvC2 is pretty broken but I understand why - 50+ characters, the time it would take to balance them out would take ages. It is true, Magneto, Storm, Sentinel, Captain Commando, Cable, and Psylocke are pretty much what all the competitive players used. Strider and Doom also deserve a mention, as they're pretty nasty together, but that's pretty much it. Eight out of 56 characters? The gameplay is also pretty much full of infinites that are TOO EASY to pull off. I wouldn't mind playing against my buddies but I know that when I become competitive it would be a pretty repetitive experience. Can I get a Third Strike in HD? OH SHIT! That would be sick. Makoto bitches!

Jill is worth a mention for competitive as well. I never could stand Cable though. Never liked how he played. I got fairly good with Cyclops even though he wasn't top tier. I could beat all my friends with just him, but that isn't saying much, as they suck. >_<

MVC2 was cool, seeing your favorites from the Marvel and Capcom universes duke it out, but overall, it was a pretty meh fighting game when you look past the "coolness" factor.
