In an interview with Videogamer.com, Capcom Vice President Christian Svensson said that they are not done with the HD Remix titles and plan to bring more. When asked about Marvel vs Capcom 2, Svensson said that is their most requested title. Svensson wouldn't make a confirmation about a HD Remix version of the game though.

I think the reason they never released more Capcom/Marvel titles is because their licensing agreement with Marvel expired.

They would have to renegotiate with Marvel to do such a thing. Possible? Sure. Probable? I don't think so.

Well, for some reason Svensson stated that Marvel vs Capcom 3 has more barriers to do. Given how hot Marvel properties are right now in the theaters, you'd think that Marvel would jump at licensing out its characters again for one of the most (if not the most) popular games they ever appeared in.

Possibly. Or, maybe because Marvel is a hot commodity at the theaters right now, they are asking for too much $$$?

That would be my first guess. Profit margins are so thin nowadays that prohibitive licensing fees could spell death even for a potentially lucrative project like this.

I would buy MvC2 in an instant, hope it comes true! Course, it doesn't really need an "HD" remix.

no thanks.
id rather see 3rd strike, or alpha 2 or 3 or dark stalkers than the broken, mediocre, horizontal-shooter-pretending-to-be-a-fighter crap that is MvC2.
That people actually think that shit is good is baffling.

though to be blunt, id rather see none of them, as SF2 HD remix looks like complete ASS. the art is TERRIBLE. it plays well, but looks so bad i'd rather stick with SF2 anniversary edition on PS2 (if i was in the mood for SF2 that is).

I'd rather buy third strike remix for sure. I'm of the opinion that MVC2 is trash for competition. It is lame but maybe I'd buy it just to play for fun.

SF2 HD remix was awesome and so good online (only thing that matters) so I hope they continue doing these.

The only reason I have my Dreamcast still connected is because I play Marvel vs Capcom 2 daily. I would love to have that in a refreshed version. Although, I would prefer to complete remake similar to SF4 though. MvC 3 could charge $120 (double cost) and I would still buy two.

 I think it looks pretty damn good, and a lot better than SF2 AE.

don't even bother with an HD Remix. just release MvC2 on Xbox Live with good online play and i'd pay for it

That you've got crappy taste in games and can't handle a little variety among the SF2/3/4/Alpha/EX/EX+ or whatever they're all called??

I liked the easy combo system. If they're gonna redo it though, they might as well return Morrigans sexy raging demon type move..

variety? in MvC2? dont make me laugh. its one of the most unbalanced fighters ever, and all you ever see is magneto-cable-storm teams, and spamming the stupid full screen laserbeam crap. Takes a lot of skill to hit those two buttons though i guess....

I play a lot more fighters than just SF, and ALL of them are miles better than MvC2.

Pros pick Psylocke - Storm - anybody... Besides that, it is so easy to block in that game. Learn to defense...

I never got into MvC2. Too much stuff going on the screen for me so I'd get confused. If MvC2:HDR came out I'd probably give it a shot.

I'd really REALLY like Alpha 2: HD Remix. Or better than anything, Street Fighter: The Movie HDR (live action video game HD Remix YATTA).

Just kidding, but I'd probably be a sucker for Any Classic Game: HD Remix.
