Marvel Studios announced a five-year "Multiverse Saga" — comprising 16 films and multiple shows — bound together by the idea.

The Multiverse Saga:
(Phase 1-3 = Infinity Gauntlet arc)

Marvel dropped the ball on this.
for 2 yrs, Had no clue what was the theme of Phase 4
till today when I read the above CNN article.

But only 3 movies that dealt with the multi-verse in Phase 4:
- Spider-Man: No Way Home
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

- What If...

Did any other marvel movie in 2021/2022 deal with the multi-verse?

Dr Strange from the first movie, prior to Infinity Gauntlet.

The Infinity Gauntlet dealt with the Multiverse. Before both of those, we learned that star Lord is literally a god--and so all of that becomes possible.

Oh right, there is Thor who always traveled between worlds with a magic rainbow sword gate thingy.

They've been directly working on this concept since like, 2017 at least or even 2011 depending on how you look at it...if you were paying attention.

usually once a show gets to the multiverse then it loses me

because, like, everything that could've happened, has happened

so what's the point

Eh... I don't care about these dumb superheroes anymore. I'm burned out on The Avengers and these stupid one-off weak characters getting their own movies (Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Eternals). We're up to what, like 9 Spider-Man movies by now?

Give me a proper X-Men multiverse. How about a Weapon X movie? Something that eventually ties into the Dark Phoenix saga.

Aside from Black Panther, the last Marvel Movie I saw I think was Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and I don't know why because part 1 sucked so bad, and part 2 wasn't any better and I cut it off midway through.

I liked Marvel when we were getting 1 or 2 a year, now that we're getting 1 or 2 movies/shows a month, I've been over it for a very long time. I have absolutely no interest in these Marvel super hero movies anymore.

They've ruined phoenix twice already, so I think they should just leave the X-Men altogether so the memories stay with the original comics.

Guardians remains the best Marvel movie so far, whatever that's worth, so it's a weird thing to say. :D

2 wasn't as good, but it was still better than most!

At least they were the first ones that weren't the same as every other Marvel movie, then all the Marvel movies became try-hard wannabe Guardians movies because the first one was so incredibly good--probably Chris Hemsworth's fault for demanding he take Thor in that direction.

Nope, not even close. Nothing is close to being as good as earlier Marvel movies, with the exception of Winter Soldier, which was a very pleasant surprise of a movie.

The characters are terrible. Starlord is the dumbest named most generic character in Marvel. There is zero focus in those movies too because they have too much going on.

I also have this thing where I just dislike Chris Pratt too so that doesn't help.

well it's important to remember that these exist long before the movies, and nothing was created for them. If anything, IronMan was an invention for the movies because it was a dreadful, discarded Marvel product that no one gave a shit about and the only reason that movie was ever made was because it was the only original property of theirs that bankrupt Marvel still owned at the time.

If you don't like Starlord's name, you don't have to look much further than the constant explanations throughout about why his name is so dumb and why no one takes him seriously, lol. There's an explanation for that!

Anyway, they're the first Marvel movies with any sort of story, any sort of passion, and charm whatsoever. They are the only properties that first delve into the dense Marvel space world, which is ever-important for the Infinity Gauntlet stuff that they eventually tied their identity to (again, not owning the necessary properties to do that properly at the time: Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, etc)

Every Marvel property before them was instantly forgettable. An assault of dumb Michael Bay nonsense for 2 hours, leaving you dazed a bit in the parking lot of the theater as if nothing of any consequence happened as soon as you leave. Guardians was the first one to actually give a damn about the characters in the film, rather than endless and inconsequential face-punching for hours, for reasons that literally no one can explain in any of those movies.

But yeah if you just dislike Chris Pratt that's its own thing. :D

Those are dimensions or "realms" within our universe, it doesn't have anything to do with the multiverse.

The point is the same as if it doesn't have a multiverse, to watch the spectacle and/or follow their adventures.

They did exist.... right next to Howard the Duck and the other "filler" titles that almost nobody ever bought!

;)

Iron man might be the most popular/iconic Marvel character now period.
