Poll should really cover everything.

If you use your iPhone/cell phone then just treat it as a single alarm clock.

In that situation, are both of you using 1 cell phone as an alarm or each of you use each of your cell phones as alarms.

I'm looking to get a new alarm clock soon as mine isn't work half time now and am trying to figure out if it'd be better to go to a two clock setup versus our current setup of 1 that we share.

I was thinking of either getting two of these

or 1 of something like this.

It'd actually be cheaper with those examples to get one for both of us.

I'd imagine that separate alarms would be better in 99% of scenarios.

I've got a dual alarm clock, but it's just for myself (radio goes off at 6:45 AM and drags me out of REM, buzzer goes off at 7:15 AM and kicks my ass out of bed)

Wheres the option for 1 alarm clock with single function?

We get up at separate times but she operates the clock.

We use the Sonic Boom. One mode is vibrate only and we put the vibrating unit under the matress. The other person may stir when it goes off, but they're not jumping out of bed in surprise beating the 'waker' until they turn the alarm off.

I use this Sony radio alarm clock: Sony ICFC180 AM/FM Clock Radio

It has 2 alarms (1 button per alarm on each side). I use the other for weekends, but you can use it for your wife.

We started with just my alarm clock and it was fine. I would often turn it off like 1 hour early when it went off and always get up in time, she was never late for work. Now she's brought hers and mine still goes off early and hers goes off later.

It totally rules that her commute is the longest at 5 minutes so we both have to be to work at 9 but often roll out of bed between 8:30 and 8:40. Go on, hate me. 🙂

We used to use one when our bed was in the corner of our bedroom (very small bedroom), but it wasn't ideal. I was against the wall, and I'd hit my wife in the head when I was trying to turn the alarm off.

I don't think we've used our alarm on our dual alarm clock in 10yrs.
That being said, honestly... You can't make this decision on your own?

This.

I use my second setting for non-work wakeup times (like when we got up early to go to Kings Island last week). Then I don't have to worry about changing my work's wakeup alarm.

poll does not have option for those are not living together to see the poll results.
therefore i voted randomly which may skew your poll results.

Two alarm clocks, one on each side of the bed. Makes things so much easier and we don't disturb each other when we get up. Plus if somebody does manage to miss their alarm or oversleep they can't blame the other person.

We each have our own alarm clocks, but hers is a dual alarm, so I set hers for my "GTF OUT OF BED" alarm. Goes off 15 minutes after mine...just in case I try to catch a few extra minutes after my alarm goes off.
