My average now seems to be once a month. Yep, once a month. With a tired wife (taking care of 2 young kids), long hours at work, few days off, thats where its at now. I remember at one point when I was single, it averaged out more than once a week. The good old days.........
 
Yes. Frequency stayed the same - maybe a slight slowdown - until the first kid. Sharp drop then and a steady, gradual decline since. Now that kid 2 is on the way, I'm a little afraid it'll just be birthdays & anniversaries after that 😛

No. My wife and I have remained pretty constant. Even with two kids. Typically 2-3 times a week.

Been together 11 years - been married 6.
 
When we were younger and had no responsibilities we had the time to fvck like rabbits and did.
Life gets in the way now, but when, occasionally, the stress and commitments ease up, we still do fvck like rabbits.
It's not marriage in and of itself that puts the brakes on, it's life generally.
I am glad I had kids young, I look forward to empty-nesting

I dropped off noticably after two kids (to the point of only 3-4 times per year), but now that the kids are older and need less attention it has picked up again to 2 -3 times per week.
 
I wonder why it drops so much when the kids come around, is it a hormonal change in the woman that causes it or just simply because both are so busy raising the kids?

Cause both are dead tired chasing the kids around the whole day and also mom feeding every 3 hours around the clock for a newborn

Waking up 2 or 3 times a night puts you in a state of sleep deprivation that sucks the sex drive right out of you...

Too busy raising the kids....especially when they are little. Getting two little ones fed, bathed, and ready for bed (while also trying to spend some time with them) takes alot out of both parents. Then you have to also do all the stuff that you need to do around the house that you couldn't do when the kids were awake. Then there is the times you have to get up during the middle of the night. And the times that one or both kids come into the bedroom....

I don't think that we've done it in the past six months... like actual intercourse...
Too bad too, because she is starting to talk about kids.
Stress from my job is the problem.
 
Far more sex when we were dating/living together, as opposed to after marriage, and even worse after 2 kids.

Now my youngest is 2, and it's starting to pick up a bit....but I'm now 41, and honestly, twice a week is plenty for me. If the wife wanted to rock every night, I can and would, but the "urge" isn't as strong as it used to be.

Nowadays, sometimes just knowing that you could get some if you wanted to is enough.

But when we were dating, it was a different story. Every night.

If I dont get it at home, I'm gonna roam. Seems to help with the sex attrition most experience.
