Two couples made it to the end.

Couple 1: They both recite their vows, and when asked to say "I do" the girl backs out at the altar. The guy seems to take it pretty well.

Couple 2: They both recite their vows, and when asked to say "I do" after the girl already did, the guy backs out at the altar. The girl is completely crushed.

I watched no other episodes before tonight, and my take is that the two people who reneged at the last second just were part of the popular desire to be "on TV", with no serious intent to go through with an actual wedding.

so it was pointless eh? Good. I hated the idea of the show.

Its dumb, everyone knows it wont work.. Now if a couple signed a contract to be together for 5 years or more and have their lives taped that might be a little more interesting. I kinda doubt it though.

This was the only episode I (kinda) watched. That one couple missed out on half a million bucks, though!

I watched 30 min and based on what you said all I can say is how monumentally pathetic that is. All were acting as if they'd go through with it. What a joke. I'm glad I don't watch much reality tv anymore.
