I think Matchbox 20 and Maroon 5 are okay.
The pointless number, according to blink 182 is just a random number that you add to the end of your band name to make sure that there's not gonna be some other band on the other side of the world that you didn't know exist suing you.
In blink's case, there was a band in the UK with the name blink. That's why they added the 182 behind it.

i like em both. well, more matchbox 20. and whats wrong w/ numbers in their names? maroon5 I like maybe 5 songs from the album.
