I thought that "This Love" song was ok when I first heard it, The second time I heard it, it was worse.... now everytime I listen to the radio, it's on and I hate it more and more. Much like that Matchbox 20 song "unwell" which I didnt know was a real word till I looked it up on dictionary.com and found it meant not only poor mental health, but also menstruating.

I hate them both. It probably doesnt help that radio stations dont like to play more than 10 songs these days...

The reason Maroon 5 have "5" in their name is because there are 5 members in the band, and saying "Maroon Quintet" just sounds retarded.
 
I dont think anyone heard me, I said it was pointless, no matter the reason! It was a poor attempt at humor, but alas, I still am irritated by these songs.

Perhaps we should just abolish all band names. They are apparently pointless.
 
not that i expect you to care, but matchbox twenty removed the numerical '20' after their 'yourself or someone like you' album.
 
Sebastian Bach of Skid Row fame has a band right now called the "Bach Tight 8" or some other number, I can't remember.

Pointless none the less...
 
I saw Maroon 5 live, and they put on a good show. Don't judge music by the fact that it's overplayed on the radio. Why not turn off the radio and have control over the music you listen to?

They're so terrible live, I have zero respect for a band that produces a mastered album and cant perform the way they sound. Even a sleight semblance of the recorded material I would have been ok with... I walked out of their show.

Actually, what happened is that the record company made them change their names in order to get signed. They thought that Kara's Flowers wouldn't sell. And I guess they were right.
 
Rob Thomas might as well just record his live performances. He sounds exactly the same as he does on the album.

Another thing... Some bands like to reproduce their album in concert and others don't. Some concert goers like to hear a complete replication of the album and some love to hear a completely different interpretation of the music. Just because a bad doesn't play it the way you want to hear it doesn't mean the band sucks live.

You can be a music enthusiast without being a music snob 🙂
