Marketing ploy: Some wheat bread might be just white bread with brown coloring

Uhhh, don't look for "wheat," look for "whole wheat." They can't say "whole wheat" if there's no whole wheat. Sometimes, though, they'll say whole wheat when it's only partially whole wheat.

So, I looked up the bread I usually get: http://www.mrsbairds.com/products/honey7Grain.html

It says Whole Grain, but I don't know if its actually all that healthy (tastes good and has good texture for sandwiches), so I was looking in the ingredients. The last thing listed is Azodicarbonamide and I was kinda WTF is that, so Googled it. Hmm:

I used to get: https://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/...udPd0vzXUGByeatog==&ddkey=http:ProductDisplay

Its good, but the slices are too wide for typical cheese slizes, and just feels weird for handling sandwiches (guess I could just cut it in half).

It should be noted that during the bread baking process azodicarbonamide is completely decomposed into gasses (carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, and ammonia) and therefore is never eaten

Hmm. Do they also stick the wheat grain stuff into it? I think I'd be able to spot white bread that just had dye... they definitely add extra crap too.

Shens. next you'll be telling us chocolate milk doesn't come from brown cows.

great now i'm craving brown cow juice.
thanks, because I don't have any. 🙁

Well I don't think I have enough milk for cereal in the morning, and I do have some ovaltine. That might suffice.

brb

update:
well now I'm just left teased. I had a very small glass worth of milk left. The Ovaltine was delicious, the quantity was disappointing. 🙁

Ever hear of a peanut butter and jelly bagel?

No. You haven't because sandwiches let you pile up the PB&J goodness without it squishing through the hole in the middle.

I've eaten jelly bagels (usually preserves, but sometimes jelly) and peanut butter bagels. No reason you can't put them together.

Besides, I hate the consistency of PB&J sandwiches. Usually white bread is too soft to carry the jelly. Needs to be a grain bread, and is much better freshly toasted.

There you go sweetie! Isn't knowledge fun? Next week we can try to teach you about Joules and the metric system.

You guys are a bunch of processed food junkies. I just go to the mill and eat a handfull of grist every day.
