There was a banner add on Newegg saying "Build a smoking hot rig"......

Now what I wonder is how this slogan ever sounded like a good idea to anyone?
 
it was sarcastic 😛 if they were promoting prescotts, they would have used the "17% higher latency" ad hahahaha. i dont like marketing either

Lol. I mean seriously, past how many peoples desks must that add have gone? And NO ONE put a stop to it....
 
to joe blow, more is better, so more latency must be better, right? marketing knows jack about computers fine, whatever, its understandable (albeit sad). but i guess they dont even know what "latency" is, as a word. having a crappy vocabulary, isnt understandable and every person's desk that that ad went through should have to go take an english class, again.
 
Marketing people appeal to the masses. That's what they did. I'll bet they made a grip of money off that slogan.
