I don't really mind HCFS being used in products as it probably isn't really that bad in moderation.

Now what I find annoying is that almost every single processed piece of food you buy has some HCFS. Why the hell does everything need sweeteners added?

to add the sweet taste so that you get hooked. now since HCFS is a lot cheaper than sugar due to fucking protectionist duty, you end up with HCFS instead of sugar. Otherwise sugar is competitive in pricing to HCFS and bakers will tell you they prefer sugar.

There are no scientific evidence that HFCS is worse for you than sugar. I do think sugar tastes better though, but I have no proof. In fact, I failed a blind taste test of regular coke vs. Mexican coke.

Living in California has a benefit. Mexican Coke is sold at Costco. It's still pretty expensive at Costco though, but at least it's available.

Umm, yeah, I just picked up some mexican coke at Costco here in KENTUCKY. It's outrageously expensive to the tune of about a buck a bottle.

The anti-HFCS bullshit going on is about as big a scam as bottled water. Just look at the history of butter/margarine.

I just had some Pepsi Throwback last night and it tastes identical to regular Pepsi. Regular Pepsi is slightly sweeter. It's yet again your minds playing tricks on you. Just like the whole Organic foods tasting better which we know is not true.

I've compared Pepsi and Pepsi Throwback side by side. There is a subtle but noticeable difference in the taste. They cost the same at the store so I don't know why you're hating on it.

I've compared mountain dew throwback blind (we marked the bottom of paper cups, filled them up and then mixed them up so we couldn't tell the difference) and there's a noticable difference. A big part of it is that the soda doesn't have that sort of burn in your mouth feeling.
