Mark Sanchez to start finale vs. Bills

Greg McElroy is out, Mark Sanchez is back in and Tim Tebow is fuming. Again.

The New York Jets' quarterback merry-go-round started spinning again Thursday morning, when Rex Ryan announced that McElroy was being evaluated for a possible concussion and won't play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills in the season finale.

Bypassing Tebow for the second time in 10 days, Ryan said Sanchez will start the game -- yet another blow to Tebow, who has complained openly about his lack of opportunities this season.

"Obviously, Tim isn't happy with it, as you'd expect," Ryan said.

This was a surreal development even by Jets standards. Ryan opened his late-morning news conference by saying, "You're not going to believe this, but ..."

Maybe if Tebow had shown some class and didn't pout and say he wouldn't play the wildcat last week he would have started this Sunday.

More proof than needed that they shouldn't of traded for him, right? jet fans just like to rub it in to a management they no longer have faith in.

I think McElroy got sacked 11 times last game, so I don't blame them for sitting him out before getting killed. Either his o-line was that bad, or he didn't want to throw it against coverage.

What else could the Jets do? Since they absolutely are getting rid of Tebow they don't dare put him out there. What if he gets supremely lucky and passes for 350 yards and the Jets win big?

Techs, it's already been stated he never said he wouldn't run the wildcat. Why do keep saying he did?

Tebow needs to just go away. No idea why he is constantly being talked about; he's not even good. So stupid.

It's obvious Ryan has not faith in his ability, should have never traded for him. They need to trade him and get on with it.

If you can't set a record winning, might as well go down in the books for most turn overs in a single game. And Sanchez is the perfect candidate to achieve that for you.

"It's been stated" by whom aside from Tebow? Multiple Jets sources told ESPN and it was confirmed by the NY Post independently.

I don't get the Tebow hate.. I feel like he's been soooo patient with the Jets. Time for him to get a fresh new start. Rex Ryan should get fired. He's stupid

Whose idea was it to get Tebow? Ryan or Tannenbaum? Or even Woody Johnson?

I dunno, i mean obviously Tebow is terrible, but the Jets kinda jerked him around when they signed for him. It was expected he'd be #2 with a shot at starting if Sanchez sucked ass. I'd be a bit peeved too if i were him.
