My favorite thing about the MNF game last night (and I only caught about 30 minutes of it here and there) was how Gruden and Tirico just got more and more fed up with the level of play on the field to the point that they spent the majority of the game openly mocking both teams for being awful. My favorite moment was when they trotted out Tebow for a series that saw them move backwards, then farther backwards, then farther backwards, then a punt, and Tirico chimed in "for those of you who were waiting for Tebow time... there it was."
And the call at the very end after the abysmal 19 fucking yard punt... and seriously, 19 fucking yards? My mother could kick a ball 19 yards... Are you fucking kidding me? It's not like the Titans punter hasn't had some opportunities to practice, given their propensity to never get first downs. That's all you get paid to do and you can't do it. What the fuck? But anyway, the final call, after the worst punt I have ever seen gives the Jets the ball 25 yards away from victory, and Sanchez responds by dropping the snap, kicking it into his running back, who decides that's a fun game he wants to get in on and he boots it right into the hands of the approaching defensive linemen.... "That's how it has to end, this Jets season." Yes it does, Mike. Yes it does.
