People don't understand what is at stake here.
We have the most threatening administration that was ever elected.
And it doesn't matter if the electoral college elected this guy or not.
Fact is, just because ones pursuit of happiness and very existence is threatened does not mean that the unwilling and those in harms way should simply lay down and submit.
Nor should good people of morals need join the religious right with tossing all moral legitimacy to the wind with favoring Trump.
When Trump prefers an administration that would threaten women's health, marriage equality, Muslims freedom to worship, Hispanics right to sit on an US court i.e. U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curie, and would hire a man like Steve Bannon, then damn straight people have not only the patriotic right but the patriotic duty to reject this administration of abomination.
And that involves protesting in the streets, boycotting business, and doing whatever it takes.
Maybe some people have no problem with Donald Trump. Maybe some people are not in Trump's crosshairs. Maybe some people need not worry about their religion or marriage or which bathroom to use.
However some people do very much need to worry, because Trump is constructing an administration followed by constructing a high court that would indeed threaten all existing freedoms mentioned above.
Stripping away to the very core the rights and freedoms of many.
Shit....
If Trump could have his way, and to help build his towers of glass and gold, Trump would reimpose slavery itself.
You know he would, if he only could, you know he would. Hmmmm Hmmmm....
And after Trump is done creating his Frankenstein of a cabinet and Frankenstein of a high court, don't be surprised if Trump does indeed have a plan for enacting modern day slavery.
And that is why so many people are indeed threatened, and why they should indeed take to the streets in protest, and should indeed never give up.
Never when it directly threatens their life and livelihood.
Something quite valuable is very much at stake for them.
True... maybe not for YOU, but certainly for others.
And not only is it their American right to protest and reject oppression, it is their patriotic duty as Americans.
