Deal

save $10, guaranteed(1) in-store Wednesday 2pm or get a $20 gift card**

Fry's (b&M) has it the same price by noon on released day too.

Thanks OP...

The link alerted me to another promotion going on for the CC website:

$20 Instant discout with the purchase of 2 Wii games. Even if it doesn't stack, getting $10 each off of any two titles seems like a good deal to me.

How do I get that "in-store Wednesday 2pm or get a $20 gift card**"" deal? Just show up at my CC at 2pm? If they don't have it when I show up, do I just ask them for the gift card?

Just show up.
Hopefully before 2pm to get in line.
I expect it to go OOS fairly quick

No, you only get a $20 gift card if they don't have it in stock at all at 2:00pm. If they sell out, that's different, so no $20 gift card.

😕 How is that different? And what other reason would they ever have for it being out of stock when the game just got released?

The $20 gift card is more for their shipment not being delivered and processed by 2:00, as opposed to them having it in stock, then selling out.

I'm betting they're holding onto stock until 1:59, at which point the $20 gift card deal is out the window.

N. Texas just got hit by a big storm this am so let's hope the UPS trucks missed their delivery to the local CC stores here as promised.
How about $20 GC plus the game in which will be available well after 2pm?
Of course I'd take that or may be just a wishful thinking on my part.
We're heading out right now to either Fry's or CC for MP 8 game hunting trip
LOL

I just went to Target and bought it. No problems, more expensive, but I have it in hand. I under estimated how long I would have to wait for the Wii before, I am not letting anything like that happen again.

I'll do one better -
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/935598.asp

Other reviews are slightly better, overall score of 72% at Gamerankings.

Past games in the series:
Mario Party - 76.6%
Mario Party 2 - 75.8%
Mario Party 3 - 73.1%
Mario Party 4 - 74.5%
Mario Party 5 - 71.1%
Mario Party 6 - 73.3%
Mario Party 7 - 65.0%

I've never been into that series myself, but I haven't really spent much time playing it either.

How often is their website updated? I just checked and it says it's not available at any store.

If you're talking about Circuit City's website then it won't tell if they have any in stock at the store. Video Games cannot be ordered online for in-store pickup. They will only ship it to you. I think the only thing that doesn't apply to is Guitar Hero. Your best bet is to call the store and find out.

As for the $20 discount if you buy two Wii games, it's not a bad deal. Sold several to customers today using that, they ended up getting Mario Party 8 for 29.99 plus the discount on the other. If you're already looking at getting another game, it turns out pretty well for the customer.

Just picked this up yesterday... good game, although not a whole lot of original minigames goin on. The remote is used in quite a few different ways, which is cool. The graphics look gamecubish of course, but have more of a rotational 3D environment. Some of the games extras are a lot of fun. It seems tough to get stars in the first two boards I've played. I've ended up with 2 at the end each time. I do like this much better than Mario 6... but Mario 2 and 4 are still my fav so far. Time to play 8 some more tonight!
