I haven't downloaded the entire file yet, there's a 15min and a 13min clip, I'm finishing up the 15min one right now off of another source.

As skilled as the guy is, I know some of that is possible. However, going through the spanner and so many close calls........I dunno. As for the water ship on world 8, why go up top when you can go under the boat! 🙂

The NES Contra one like this is hella cool - I'll have to check this out.

Got a link to that Contra one? Or maybe a filename/keyword I can google for?

I'm checking - I don't have a clue what the filename was. It was a movie just like this mario movie but on the original contra without dying or cheating. It was sweet!

I actually have some friends that lived in my dorm 2 years back that played Contra. They kept a running tally. They beat it 100 times over the course of a semester. One game was perfect - not a life lost. Shortest time was something around 14 minutes. That was hardcore.

I wanna see a video like this for Battletoads for NES. My friend and I couldn't get very far (lvl 6) even with game genie codes. Some people on gamefaqs.com were saying they beat Battletoads a few times without any codes. Battletoads is insane.

This is a Japanese version so I think there's some glitches that we can't do with the US version like the going through the wall at the last castle and I couldn't seem to be able to escape the lil-hand-thing that pull you into the level when you walk by them.

1. He maxed out all of his lives and not even used one
2. He defeated Bowser by jumping on him (i didn't know that that is possible)
3. Some close calls on the speed ships.
4. He got lucky on the hand bridge.
and 5. :Q OMG!

jeessus christ!!!!!!!1 to be honest contra didint wow me as much as mario.

i too was amazed by bowser. but he didnt get bowser by jumping on him, it was the fireballs.

Holy crap thats insane. That was the only mario game I could not beat back in the day. Everytime I got to Level 8 my Nintendo Reset or I gave up because it was too hard. I still remember how much everyone wanted Mario 3, everyone went to go see the Wizard because it had some footage of Super Mario Bros 3.

I'm confused...I thought you needed 3 flutes to get to level 8. The first flute he used got him to 2,3,4 and the second flute should've took him to 5,6,7? It took him straight to 8 though.

You will get to world 8 by using flute on the choosing stage map.

why? ever watch G4 tv? they have all kinds of perfect games, such as 18 wheeler perfect parking, snowboarding breaking 1000,000 on the first try. it's just a program, and i'm sure he's programmed to play it like that 🙂

There are times when the wrench looks like it hits his feet, other times when it looks like he is hitting other stuff, like fire/bombs/flowers.
I bet he had gamegenie on to where stuff did damage him or hurt him.

ALSO, when he goes to world 8, he skips across those 5 stages without a hand grabbing him...whats with that?

i think it was the black backdrop which is why we couldnt see the hammers.

as for the bridge, thats timing. you see he runs as soon as possible

A True warrior doesn't run away from battles, or True warriors don't run away from battles would have sounded better. A smart warrior lives to fight many a battle. 😉 That being said, why'd he skip so many levels and use the invincible star!

because he earned them

he didn't cheat, he used the tricks in the game to win. it's all legit, otherwise they wouldn't have programmed them in there
