Marine from Buffalo Killed in Iraq... anyone else?

This news is a couple days old, but I found out something disturbing.
Eric Orlowski was his name, he and I were line mates on the West Seneca Lacrosse team.
We went to school togeather, hung out, played games, and now he's dead.

Sad when it hits home like that.

Here is the article.

Yea, its sad.

Anyone else lose family/friends in the war?

Or are all of you just blinded unaffected super opinionated anti/pro war supporters?

Was that a slip of the itchy trigger finger?

Yes. Sorry about that and your loss.

Unfortunately there are going to be many more of those satories before this Conflict is Finished. Just the nature of war. Still I am sorry for you loss Sampson.

BTW, Didn't you join the Marines yourself?

Yup, that is totally true. Lives will be lost. Although, it doesnt feel like a reality until its someone you know. It will probably be even worse seeing his dead cold face in a suit, in casket.

I at one point had thoughts about joining the Air Force. My best friends father is a recruiter for the AF. Thoes ideas dissolved quickly though.
That friend was shipped off to Afghanistan to fight the "war on terror", I have not talked to him since the day he left.
He used to call every single weekend. I fear he is also dead.

They belong to us all. My heart goes out to every single one of them and to their families.
