I saw where one of the newer tactics was to buy houses in upscale neighborhoods, next to the doctors, lawyers, etc. Then using the entire house for growing. No one expects a grower to be in a million dolllar home 🙂

The reality of it is, you have to be either stupid or just very, very unlucky to get busted growing plants in your home..

It's the smell that gives most people away. Some strains are just impossible to contain, even a few plants will stink up the whole block - literally. Even non-smelly strains have quite the odor in the last couple of weeks of flowering.

An operation that's consuming 400$/mo in electricity is pretty big, though. Each 1,000W light costs about 50$/mo during veg and 35$/mo during flowering at 0.10/kWh.

The generator idea is nice, but fairly impractical when it comes down to it. Of course there are people that do it, but fuel is very expensive.

I can only guess that with the economic downturn and the fact that a LOT of people are sitting in homes that they are 70-100K upside down on that more growing activity will happen. Who would care if the Feds seized a house that wont be worth what 's owed on it for 10 years..
