Marijuana: Harmless or not?

i believe pot is harmful because i have not heard any reputable medical source say otherwise. however, i think it should still be legal, just like committing suicide should also be legal.

While you do agree with me, I'm not sure saying something is harmful because you've never heard evidence to the contrary makes any sense. I've never heard any reputable medical source say, for example, running SETI is harmful, so therefore I'll assume it is

ok, i left out the part where doctors actually do describe the long term side effects of chronic pot usage, and even just pot usage at a young age

pot DOES do damage there is no denying it, the argument of legalization is that it does less damage than a lot of things which are legal. there isn't a doctor in the world who can say alcohol has a good feature besides the enhanced social abilities after having a drink.....too much will inhibit the ability though. i bet that playing with a computer all day is worse for your eyes than smoking a joint is for your lungs.... should TV and computers be illegal? nah.

i think the solution would be regulated sort of...... pot being legal BUT you cannot grow it......that would prevent the problem of a power crisis.

legalization would be good because it takes the illegal factor out of it......people who sell weed are criminals, SOME of those dealers also sell harder things like acid, coke, heroine and that other one that i want to call PHP but i know that's the wrong name......hmmmm
making weed legal would stop regular everyday people from becoming assosiated with criminals.

in the days of prohibition, people who bought booze were actually becoming assosiated with the mafia that is NOT good.

have you been to BC, Canada? at least 90% of the people there toke up because the climate is just perfect, it rains all the time and and it never really freezes, people grow entire fields of it. Canada would go bankrupt if it threw all stoners in jail, BC makes up like 1/3 of Canada's population

I'm 17 and never taken any illegal drugs nor would I want to. I'm proud of that. And I don't drink either. My friends don't either. I prefer to get high on life as it is, I don't need some drug to do this for me. I also highly doubt that I will ever smoke either... I just don't find a need or desire for it. Call me a geek and boring, but each to his/her own!

On the question of weather Marijuana is harmless or not, everything in life is potentially harmful. It is upto each person to clarify in his/her own mind as to weather it is harmful or not, after being presented with the facts.

The US's war against drugs is stupid and a waste of resources. The argument that marijuana is dangerous is questionable at best.

Has anyone noticed how dangerous mountain climbing is and how bad professional footaball is to a person's long term health and quality of life? I wonder why these sports are not illegal?
