California - keep your illegal vices to yourself.
LMAO, this from a state with legalized gambling and prostitution.

Hey, I'm for all three being legal, I just think this is hilarious.

Either one can be abused. Obviously there is a difference between them, but not a difference that requires either to be illegal.

Last year, 4 voting districts (3 House, 1 Senate) voted convincingly on referendums that Mass lawmakers should reduce the penalty of MJ possession to that of a civil offense, like getting a speeding ticket. The votes passed by 66%, 67.5%, 62%, and 61%.

It has swayed some lawmakers into fighting for the cause and made other staunch defenders reconsider. Only time will tell, but I really think we throw away so much money on something that amounts to the same thing as alcohol, if not less.

I'd say it matters much more than alcohol. While I don't personally do either...I'd say alcohol is worse in the short term (drunk driving, alcohol poisoning, etc) whereas pot is worse in the long term (potheads that can barely think anymore do to using too much over time, which can happen quite fast). I've seen many potheads, and yes, the "worst" they've done is pot, and it's..quite frankly..depressing.

Now, they both screw with your brain..the thing is, they tried to ban alcohol, and that didn't go too well. Why legalize something when 30 years later people will want to make it illegal again?

It's still legal in the city of Denver to possess 1oz or less, IIRC.
