We still have parades here in N La, but it just aint the same. 🙁

The cool thing is its starting to catch in other cities..I'd say its grown in HI the last few years and I've heard San Diego has their flow goin on...either way its a great eye candy night..

I've never been to the parades in New Orleans. I'm going to try to make it at some point. No hurry though. We've been going to the Mardi Gras festivities in Mobile, AL ever since I was a kid (didn't make it this year though.) I think they've actually been celebrating it there longer than they have in New Orleans.

Just to let you know it's Fat Tuesday everywhere. Mardi Gras is french for Fat Tuesday.

i know that, but there is a huge polish population in SE michigan, therefore, paczki's rule the day. 🙂

Crap, last year for Mardi Gras all we had was a riot. And I don't mean riot is a good way I mean people breaking crap and kicking other peoples arses. Gotta love the smell of tear gass in the morning...smells like Seattle.

yeah..I'm curious to see what happens this year...hope that lose band of terrorists isn't looking to cause problems...

We have our own Mari Gras here in panama city. It might not be as big, but all the girls during spring break more than make up for it 🙂
