"December 28th March Against Communism: Charlotte, NC

Bring your torches, guns, armor, gear, and flags! Stay nonviolent, and we'll have a great time. Augustus Invictus, Richard Spencer, Dillon of Vanguard America, and many more will be speaking. Once night falls, we'll (peacefully) march into downtown Charlotte and show the size our ranks."

They got called out on the gun remarks and have redacted that until they get their permits but still, this is the intent. This park is home to a Martin Luther King memorial statue and a Holocaust memorial monument. Should be fun!

Here is the flyer:

And now here is Anticom, looking exactly like Antifa except for the Trump gear.

I keep seeing posters crying about Antifa's violent ways and then here you are organizing terror marches with torches and guns. From where I sit in the middle of the spectrum you are both extremists.

Communism? Isn't that like having a march against child abuse?

I'm a little slow but smells like another laundered white supremacist rally. City needs to do the following.

No weapons allowed and lots of cops.

I'd like see a counter protest with one of those "color run" races on the same path.

http://www.thecolorvibe.com/

It's basically one giant paint bomb that sprays all of the runners as they pass through. Make it all neon pink. Something about doing a "Color Run" and a bunch of frothing at the mouth racist trolls getting caught up in a cloud of bright pink paint as they do their "peaceful protest" just makes me giggle.

so now "march against communism" is the nazi euphamism for uh...nazis.

great. I hope they can tell us where communism is rising, because that hasn't been a thing since the 50s.

and lol @ "Bring[all of your weapons and torches] for this "nonviolent" march!" lol what a bunch of maroons. This way, they and their dingleberry supporters can scream that they announced it was "nonviolent!"

lol, what a bunch of poltroons.

I'd say the best way to deal with it is lack of attention. Somehow i doubt antifa and the media will not attend. If no one listens there's nothing gained.

I'm with you, a few dozen disaffected nutters have a march and it is a major national news event. The only purpose for making this news is to encourage antifa to come out and engage them and hopefully get some hard core violence with fatalities so that the news media can get more eyes on their product and more money from their advertisers. In my youth when the news media had some integrity, they didn't pimp shit like this, now it seems their sole purpose.

It's a bit clever, actually, structuring a white supremacist march as "anti-communist." That way, any counter-protesters can be cast as pro communist rather than anti-fascist or anti-racist. I bet Trump will oblige by calling them commies.

In my youth, the President didn't pimp Nazis & White Supremacists from the bully pulpit.

Until this "peaceful" demonstration occurs lets refrain from insulting them. There could be some "very fine people" in attendance.

Better take off them rose colored glasses concerning Presidents and your time

There’s no question that Lyndon Johnson, despite championing the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 and signing it into law, was also a sometime racist and notorious vulgarian who rarely shied away from using the N-word in private. For example, he reportedly referred to the Civil Rights Act of 1957 as the “n-word bill” in more than one private phone conversation with Senate colleagues. And he reportedly said upon appointing African-American judge Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Court, “Son, when I appoint a n-word to the court, I want everyone to know he’s a n-word.”

In Senate cloakrooms and staff meetings, Johnson was practically a connoisseur of the word. According to Johnson biographer Robert Caro, Johnson would calibrate his pronunciations by region, using “nigra” with some southern legislators and “negra” with others. Discussing civil rights legislation with men like Mississippi Democrat James Eastland, who committed most of his life to defending white supremacy, he’d simply call it “the n-word bill.

If the town runs this thing like Boston you won't need antifa. Barring all weapons will open the door for enough civillians to show up and drown out those assholes.

That still doesn't mean he backed Nazis and white supremacists. And he still backed the Civil Rights Act while modern Republicans have been trying to scale it back.

Look, we know you're uncomfortable admitting that you support a President beloved by neo-Nazis. But don't act as if we're stupid enough to be fooled by distractions.

You really don't understand the times, not even after reading your own link. Well, if you even read the whole thing. Johnson used that word the way we use "black" today- without malice, as did many of the era.

It doesn't counter what I said in any way, either, about pimping White Supremacy from the bully pulpit. Both Nixon & Reagan drew the line at that even though they pandered to white sentiment in different terms.

Here's another link worth reading-

Aspiring media contributor.

so your stance is that our president supporting nazis is just the new normal, and that not adapting to that is just being a divisive media sensationalist?

Now, part of my agrees that this event should just be ignored, much like the hilarious disaster that was the MOAR rally (lol--losers couldn't even show up), but I assure you that few people would give a shit if some nazis got punched.

I don't see him supporting nazis, but a buffoon yes.
I don't mind nazis loosing a few teeth, but with heavy media attention, you're giving them what they want.
