How much did he inherit? I hear numbers all over the place. But here is the issue, you give the Average American 100 million and 4 years later they are broke and living under a bridge.
To say he is not a success is a false story. He definitely is successful he attained seed money and was able to create a business that obviously generates cash flow.
Look at Rubio for example, he ended up in negative net worth even after he sold some books and got some cushy jobs, not only that he "Mistakenly" used GOP credit cards to pay bills.
I'm not suggesting that he squandered his enormous trust fund, like some lottery winner would that was never raised wealthy and with the knowledge of how to not fuck up tremendous fortunes.
I'm suggesting that he established for himself a fine cushion early on, and has been able to tinker around and play with his own hilariously awful ideas....nearly all of which have been horrible. Which is perfectly fine, in fact. I think that's great.
Of course, it's one thing to be able to fearlessly inject cash into projects with no real concern for failure, because you were born wealthy and were always wealthy.
What I am saying is that Trump--the man--really isn't successful on his own merit. Everything he has touched from his own mind has turned to shit. Had he been born a middle-class son of a mechanic, he'd still be out on the street or in some mall kiosk trying to sell slapchops made of fake gold-embossed chinese plastic and meant for "The Best!" Fish ever!
I'm challenging this claim that he is some self-made man or some embodiment of the American Dream--he isn't. Trump never risked anything. His balls were never on the line. He never had to bet all he had on a deal. All he is is a brand, the value of which he self-evaluates as his mood strikes him (his own court testimony).
