I've seen version 7 and version 5, but our school is using Maple 6 for Calculus. I've got some homework due next week and don't want to have to go to school to use theirs. Does anyone know where I can get it from(preferably free or like a 60 day eval copy)?

At your school bookstore? I bought mine for $100 at my school. Perhaps you can order it. Version 7 has some annoying bugs in it.

Unfortunately, I am taking my Calc courses at a community college and they do not have maple. Plus mapleworks.com has version 7, but it is a 27 meg or so download, and I'm using a dinosaur 56k connection.

Is it really worth the purchase? I know I'm going to need it for the rest of my Calc courses as well as my high level engineering courses.

It's very useful for students who takes Calculus classs. Better than a Ti-89 calculator, IMO.

I already have a TI-89 as well, calculators are more portable though. Who knows I might actually break down and buy a laptop just to put maple and probably a compiler or 2...

Why dont you just use Maple7, I dont think there's a difference between 6 and 7. BTW, if you want Maple7 PM me;)

On a side note, I heard that one of the Professors at my school wrote Maple (or was it some other program?)

Just a thought..
