After searching for some oakley sunglasses, a sea of fake Oakley sunglasses sites flooded my yahoo results. I looked and they seemed like a good deal. Some range from $5 to 25. Don't know if all these sites got the glasses from the same wholesaler or if one replica is just as good as the next. Don't know if these sites are owned by the same person either because some sites look identical and their wording are very similar.

But if you're interested, here are all of the sites for you to shop and compare:

http://www.oakleysfake.com/products.htm
http://www.replicaoutlet.com
http://www.mysunglassesoutlet.com
http://www.oakleywarehouse.com
http://www.replica-oakleys.com
http://www.oakleysdirect.com/index2.html
http://www.oakleycollection.com
http://www.the-oakleys.com
http://www.replicawarehouse.net
http://zybergear.com
http://www.optic-illusions.com

I tried register.com to look at the site owners and their IPs, some IPs were very similar.

Has anyone bought these or know quality differences between replicas and other replicas? (but again, they could all be from the same wholesaler)

So anyway, if you're into replica Oakleys, there's your comparison shopping.

I'm curious. I know there are lots of fakes out there, but is there a best of the best of the fakes. Someone has to be making pretty decent replicas.

Can anyone recommend a site?

Be careful when using replica sunglasses in the sun as you don't really know if the lenses are providing protection against UV radiation. Some will even have "replica" UV protection labels on them when there is no UV protection coating on the lenses. This can actually cause more damage to your eyes than not wearing sunglasses at all since the darkened lenses will cause your pupils to dialate allowing more light and harmful UV radiation into your eyes.

I think that many of the frames are actually Oakleys but the lense is what determines if they are real.

No, the frames are not Oakley frames. I have the old school Eye Jacket (1996) which are the most used replicas nowadays. I had replicas and they were breaking off like nothing. I went through 4 replicas in 3 months. Got fed up and bought the eyejacket from oakley, and they are still in good condition right now.

The lenses are far superior on the Oakleys and real sunglasses. Replicas are just what they are, horrible knock offs.

I got some really nice fakes last summer for like $15 shipped for 2 pairs. They are really nice and look and feel exactly the same as the original. I'll try to find the site...

if you value yor vision don't buy these cheep knock-offs. if you doubt this go into a local optomatrist(sp?) and ask him about it. i wouldn't even use real oakleys though, they're more fashion than function. get theses native's they rock. the rose tinted lenses are the best protection and everything is polarized. if you spend much time in the sun this should be an important thing to you. you wear sunblock for your skin but what about your eyes? i realy like the lifetime warrenty and the interchangeable lenses on some of the models are just sweet.

I dropped a big Maglite on my fake Oakleys and they broke in half. Thank God they were fake.

nah if they were real it wouldn't have mattered, the first time they break simply send them back to oakley and they will send you a new pair (only applies to the frame of course) the second time the break you pay like $20 bucks and they send you a new pair. It is a pretty good deal, Oakleys will not break under normal use though.

o and i have owned oakly relicas, back in the days of my foolish youth. i pinched them in the middle as i was putting them on and the oakly labble along the nose bring came off onto my finger the first day. they broke the secound day. next i got a pair of realy oakly wires and they looked cool and had good quality but offered little real protection. same thing with my arnets. now i have like three pairs of the natives and there the best i've ever had.

definetly. why i stay away from knockoffs. if you want to save money buy cheaper but reputable brands😛

I always had a couple pairs of M-frames with lots of lenses. I even had a custom pair made with prescription set-in all mirror($350).
One day I bought some knock-offs near the Statue of Liberty, and the frames were so perfect I was able to snap the real Oakley lenses into them. By the way, the original Oakley plastic frame was prone to stress cracks, so it was a bargain for me to find frames for ten bucks. And you can buy real Oakley lenses separately....🙂😉

I purchased some fakes not too long ago, and let's just say they were really really fake. It seems that the company (sorry I don't remember who they were) showed real oakleys and what I got was some two dollar knock offs and they were crap. As soon as I saw them they went right into the garbage. Be careful what you buy, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

Prices are nothing to rave about. They sell on Canal Street in NYC for $8, the more you buy, the less you get them for. I wouldn't be surprised if they were buying them for $3-5 on the street and selling them $15-$25.

Its fun to walk around and see all the tourists bargain for ticking Rolex's - 3 for $25 🙂

So pirating software is illegal, but fake Oakleys are OK. Are these like OEM products?

Actually, it is not okay. I live in New York City, and the cops will arrest anyone selling fake Oakleys. Apparently, Oakley knows about these vendors, and filed a lawsuit. I don't know the exact details, but I just know that you're not SUPPOSED to be doing it.

I have had a pair of fakes for a long time and my eyes are fine. Sure they aren't just like the real things, but lets see$8 or $100 and up, or someone steals my fakes or someone steals my real ones, which is worse.
I had a pair of fakes for a little over a year and they just did break a couple of days ago, thats because someone sat on them,

I just ordered 2 more from www.mysunglassesoutlet.com fro less than $25 shipped.
I always get the metal ones, like C and A wires, so I don't know much about the Plactic ones.

i had just got back from Mexico last night and Gosh if you want to get fake oakleys every single person sells those down their . Its like the plague .
I did though see some very nice ones and i would love to know where to order those nice ones from . Any suggestions

Conney Safety Products has some very nice-looking glasses for between $5 and $12. I've been using them for years. Granted they're safety glasses, but there are quite a few stylish models. Check out the Uvex and Smith & Wesson brands.
