Many questions on RAM upgrading

I've looked at the guides, didnt find anything.
I have a few questions:

1. I have PC2700 ram (2x 256mb) and i want at least 1gb. I could either get more pc2700 ram to make 1gb, or i could get 2x512mb pc3200ram. BUT, will i really see a difference? I can get a stick of 512mb pc2700 for $45, but 1gb of pc3200 is $90 or so. Would 1gb of pc2700 be noticably slower than 1gb pc3200 ram?

2. You have my specs below, So if RAM prices drop, i could pick up 2x 1gb sticks of (hopefully) pc3200 for not too much money. But, as you can see, I have a limited PSU, and my 6600gt is OCed currently...Would i have enough power for 1gb or 2gb of ram? I know i could always put my 6600gt at stock speeds again.

3. As long as i get the RAM from the same company, and it is PC2700, i can have 2x 256mb sticks of ram and 1x 512mb stick of ram running at the same time, right?

1 yes. with p4s 2x512mb will be faster than 4x256mb.

2.ram dosent eat up that much power.

3.yes but performance takes a hit from having non balanced ram.

edit: fordog to say, not all your ram has to have to be form the same company or even speeds. all ram will be set at highest latencies and lowest speeds if you mix though. so if you have a 2-2-2-8@pc2700 and a 2.5-3-3-8 @pc3200, then all ram would be set at 2.5-3-3-5 8@pc2700

OK, the company that made my RAM currently inside my computer is Infineon technology...and i can't find anything on newegg from them (or it isnt available)

so thanks for the link, ill have to get some dual 512 sticks sometime...I found a better deal on newegg for Kingmax ram, and i heard its pretty good...

but still, how much faster is 3200 compared to 2700? what if my mobo doesnt support 3200 (which it should)

3200 is only marginally faster as far as general performance wise. 5%max performance gain.
