Many moons ago I went Downtown Chicago with some friends . . .

one of them was driving my car and he said he'd park it and dropped us off at water tower. after we did our shopping, dinner etc, we went to get the car and it had been towed. 🙁 he had parked it illegally.

as it was my car, i paid to get the car back.

should he have paid? or at least pitched in?

edit

btw, i was inspired to post this by this thread http://forums.anandtech.com/me...9631&enterthread=y

but it was a true story, I just hadn't thought about it for a long time.

what a dick, he should have paid , or at least gave you 50% if he is really poor

if he had the $, he is a dick head

He should have paid at least half in my opinion

You took risk on your side by letting him drive the car and he took risk by driving someone else's carn. No matter how much you trust each other, the risk is still there.

Since you both took risk, I would assume you both split the cost, that's what I would have done if it was me at least 🙂

Water under the bridge, my friend.

Yo Cherry, is that you??

you owe me dude. 😉

Fair enough. Let me buy you a

BTW I agree, he should have paid. But you get my point.

I'll second the train idea. $1.75 each way, ~$1.50-2.00 for parking, less hassle, faster, plus you don't pay for gas.

so if he had gotten a speeding ticket driving my car, i should have paid half because i took risk?

well I was driving your car to do you a favor....gosh, some people are just not appreciative!

If he didn't try to at least help you, he's a selfish prick who doesn't care.

You don't need friends who will be that careless with your car, then not take responsibility for thier actions.

He's a prick.

MAKE HIM PAY DAMN IT

That water cooler description is pretty retarded. They might as well tell the user to add salt to the water solution so that the boiling point is higher!

Whoever took thermodynamics can tell you that metal conducts heat WAY WAY WAY better than water. Water coolers which HAVE fins will give you much faster cooling since the metal will zap the heat away from your chip faster and then spread it out over a larger area for the water to take the energy away.
