Many bugs in Tyan tiger MP? or should i get another dual mobo

I was thinking about getting a tyan tiger mp, but my friend said it caused some wierd errors and crashed cs everytime he tried to close cs. I was mainly looking at this mobo because it is relativily cheap.
I also saw some ram issues with this mobo, what is the best kind of ram for this mobo?

Any other good boards that dont' have "flaws" like this one, if this one really does?

any input would be awsome. as well as any sellings for this or dual gig+ hmrtz mobo

Your friend may be telling you about the first revisions of the Tiger MP. They were known to be unstable in some situations, but a bios flash makes everything alright 🙂 Unless you need some 64 bit PCI slots I would suggest the Tiger MPX or Asus A7M266-D. AMD seems to be a safe way to go for at least a few more months.
