Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton

Is this someone who can give Pacquiao a good fight? Or become just another Diaz? I love what Diaz said to his coach, "he's too fast".

Oh, and I wonder what's going through Hatton's head whenever he watches the replay of himself getting KO'd by Mayweather and crashing into the post. LoL.

Hatton has such a difficult style and with only one loss over 46 fights, 32 by ko, I definitely wouldn't count him out. That said, I've never seen Pacquiao fight.

I wouldn't say he has a difficult style. He's aggresive and pretty much comes straight in all of the time. Pacquiao's main attack is his straight left and this will surely catch Hatton a few times if just comes rushing in.

Hatton does have the power and his body shoots are devastating but I don't know if he's going to be able to get in close enough to land them because of Pacquiao's speed. It will be a interesting fight indeed.

damn i hope Pacquiao wins to set up the match with Mayweather. Missed out on going to the De La Hoya vs Pacquiao fight (turns out i didn't miss much!) but if Pacman/Mayweather happens I will be there!

I'm going to try my best to buy tickets to that one if it materializes. I hope Pacman beats Hatton so such a match will happen.

Isn't Mayweather retired? Or is he one of those who "retires" until the money is right?

http://sports.espn.go.com/spor.../news/story?id=3994843 HELL YES!!!
But in Floyd's mind, he knows there is one Godzilla, and that's a fight with Pacquiao
woot!

Floyd Money Mayweather is allegedly broke now too -- he might not be so retired.

YOU KNOW I KEEPS A PRIVATE JET!!!!

Funny this thread came up ... I'll be at the fight live. I go to the same gym as James Kirkland (Ann Wolfe) and he's fighting on the undercard. As for predictions, I'm going to go with Pacquiao.

I want to see this fight, but I guess I'll just have to wait for the replay.

Hatton can definitely give Pacquiao a fight. As Pacquiao as been jumping weight classes he's been going up against older, slower washed up fighters like Diaz and De La Hoya. Hatton is a lot stronger than the guys Manny has beat so easily and his punches cause a hell of a lot more damage. I think Manny is going to win because Hatton doesn't play much defense, but it's not going to be all that easy. Hatton will hurt Pacquiao, just never enough to knock him out.

Heard there's a paid online streaming available if you don't have cable. Is this true or is this streaming really just those "free" streaming you have to hunt down to find?

I think Hatton reached his peak awhile ago. It's just another fight that's going to fuel the inevitable mayweather vs. pacman fight.

yeah the big thing i've been worried about w/ Pacquiao is that he's been fighting older fighters and Hatton's in his prime. Think the fight will be a lot closer than people think. If Hatton wins I wouldn't call it a huge upset.

10 PM EST

7 PM for the left coast. 🙂

I wonder if these guys eat dinner before they thrash each other, or wait til after?

Ready for Hatton to get his ass handed to him?

Hatton said on Craig Ferguson's 'show' that he eats a full English breakfast before each fight. Not sure what an English breakfast is but he made it sound like a lot of stuff.

Hatton will probably lose, but I am cheering for him because there is only one and that Blue Moon song is awesome.

Should be entertaining, already looking forward to Paq-man wailing on Mayweather in their sure-to-be-upcoming fight.
