I may be incorrect but didn't brady take over for a injured Drew bledshaw during their first superbowl run. Brady took over a very good playoff calibur team with all the pieces around him.

I am not argueing that brady < manning, if my life depended on one game I would choose brady over manning but many people forget this one little fact about brady's short career so far when compared to manning.

Brady has never had a QB rating over 100. Manning has had 3 years with QB ratings over 100 including a year at 121. Compare the stats over their first 7 years (the amount of time Brady has been in the league)

Actually espn did this stats ananlysis like only they can, where they broke down and compiled every single stat for a QB (past and present). They analyzed every QB's complete season statistic and gave it a their new and improved QB rating. And according to their data, Kurt warners 2 amazing seasons (MVP both years i think) was the only QB to break top ten in this list twice.

Meaning Kurt warner is a very good QB, just needs a particular kind of offense, the lighting fast kind. So I would not put him in the same category as ben r, or trent dilfer. Its a shame he got screwed by the rams after his injury. Its funny how QB's who are replaced by their backups lose all their confidence and never perform again (drew brees is the exception this year).

But remember drew bledsaw, before he got hurt and replaced by tom brady during the pats 1st SB win, his stats in his first 10years in the league were among the best of all time. Now he is replaced by butterfingers Romo.
