Outside of the Vikings who are crappy the rest of those teams are respectable, this is the age of parity (mostly) in the NFL, with the exception of Jacksonville you've got to show up ready to play and play mistake-free or possibly lose the game..

That was my point 🙂 The Lions victories are without a doubt more impressive than the Cowboys victories. The Cowboys have only won against pretty troubled bottom-tier opponents. The Lions have won against some okay mid-tier teams. Both have lost some stupid games, but the Lions are certainly a step above.

In the big picture though, the Lions are probably a one and out playoff team at this point. When you see the Broncos rolling, or even KC, The Pats, The Seahawks (wow), the Saints (easy to forget, but they've got their HC back in full and hitting hard), you see the gap between the pack and the real leaders.

Your argument is that Detroit should have won by 50 points.

Denver only beat Jax by what...17? That's the best vs the worst.

A win is a win.

Who is your team by the way?

Denver coasted through that game, no reason to risk injuries and run up the scoreboard for no purpose.

The 50 point quote was somewhat hyperbolic. Nobody can sanely argue that Dallas didn't play horribly today, but that's what they do against real teams. They've only won against really really wobbly teams (the NFC East as a whole is just a mess this year). I consider their game against the Broncos to be their best game by a massive margin, they pulled out all the stops and somehow everything clicked. It was literally like watching a different team.

Realistically the Lions should have won by at least two TDs today. They played well overall, but the ball control and interceptions were a bit questionable.

I don't really have a team. I much prefer following players and characters. I actually really like Stafford and Megatron, just wish they had better support. Peyton has always been a classy guy with ludicrous skills.

Meh, tough to say, Detroit has had some iffy games but they do have a good QB, one of if not the best receivers in the game and I don't see any powerhouse teams in the NFC whereas in the AFC the Broncos (I hate to admit it being a Pat's fan) look a tad above the rest. The first KC/Den match-up will be very interesting indeed, I think the Pat's are a team good enough to win the AFC east but missing Wilfork, Mayo for the season plus an offense that disappears frequently will not advance in a playoff scenario.

Denver offense is looking sloppy again. O-line really needs to step it up to give Manning the confidence he needs to throw properly. If he's even a little worried he'll get touched he gets pretty inaccurate.

Fauria is going to help both Staff and CJ a lot. Plus Pettigrew is catching the ball again, so CJ isn't being triple covered.

The reality is the Lions have always had problems setting the tempo. They match whatever team they are playing and the Cowboys seem to do the same. Lions like to come from behind at the very end of the game. It pisses me off to no end.

I think the Cowboys and especially Romo don't get the respect they deserve. They are leading their division and are capable of beating any team in the league. They aren't a Boncos, control the tempo team though.

This is a funky year for the whole league. Inconsistent play from big names and big injuries are throwing off what you would think would happen. Its one of those years where you have no idea who is going to make it to the big game.

A win is still a win. How you get there means nothing after the clock stops running.

The only one on both sides of the ball, just amazing the Cowboys D didn't even try and assumed he was going to spike it. Simply amazing. They kept us in the game with the turnovers, and completely gave it away with the brazillion yards and sleeping on the last drive.

I don't understand why they assumed it was going to be a clock play. Dan Marino did that shit like 20 years ago...

Lmao at the Dallas Jerry's. Chokemo with another piss poor game against a solid team.
Also Calvin Johnson is the best receiver in the league by a mile.

Cowboys are garbage. Plain and simple. They find ways to lose. Romo will put up numbers but will ultimately lose you the game. Jerry Jones owner/gm/ceo/marketing director/scout/draft day guru doesn't know more football than most pee wee football coaches.

Lol at manning trying to tackle the guy chasing his fumble

Wasn't trying to tackle him - was trying to prevent him from recovering the ball. If Denver recovered, then it was a penalty, and best case scenario after the ball was knocked loose. Wise attempt by Manning. Hail to the Redskins.

I told you guys the Broncos were in trouble. Even if the Broncos come back and win this one, you have to wonder about them struggling against such a weak team.

The android needs a software patch. Its compiling now, should be good after the bye.

But seriously. ..it looks like if you want to shut Denver down, you just need to put Peyton on his back early. Completely messes him up and you have a chance.

I don't think that's news though. Peytons always been a pocket passer who doesn't scramble. It's just a matter of actually getting to him, and the O-line seems to have been letting more go recently.

There's been a lot of mistakes on Denver's side though, like penalties at awful times.
